Welcome to the Official Website for the
Climate Control Companies Association

Our History:

RACCA, the association devoted to the business betterment of the Refrigeration and Air Conditioning industry. RACCA has industry knowledge and business intelligence within its foundations and a strong code of ethics which it employs to support its members hence enabling them to continually strive for improvement within the industry.

H.V.A.C Contractors Association a body representing the commercial interest of mechanical services subcontractors in New Zealand. H.V.A.C. Contractors Association provides a forum to discuss and coordinate the views of its members in an informed environment.

The long-awaited amalgamation of the two company associations, RACCA (a division of IRHACE) and HVAC Contractors Association is now complete.

This is a much-anticipated move to strengthen the industry's company associations by merging them into one united organisation.

Our Mission is to "establish and promote high standards of business competence and industry conduct for companies engaged in the climate controlled environment industry".

The organisation has been structured to provide focus for the various industry sector groups as well as through participation on the governing board. The sector groups given recognition include:

  • Mechanical services including heating and air conditioning
  • Refrigeration
  • Heat pumps
  • Ventilation
  • Suppliers and Manufacturers

The CCCA board will address industry-wide issues at the national level and the various sector groups can focus on issues pertinent to their sectors.

Our purpose is to promote high standards of business competence and industry conduct for companies engaged in climate controlled environments;

Our primary objectives are to:

Promote the advancement of the education, practice, and technology of refrigeration, heating, ventilation and air conditioning for the benefit of all New Zealanders;

Promote the continuing improvement of standards in the refrigeration, ventilation, heating and air conditioning industries for the greater good of New Zealand;

Represent and promote the interests of Members/Associates/Affiliates of the Society engaged in the refrigeration, heating, ventilation and air conditioning industries;

Liaise with those bodies responsible for the on-going training and education of Members/Associates/Affiliates' employees and contractors engaged in the refrigeration, ventilation, heating and air conditioning industries, ensuring such training meets the requirements of the refrigeration, ventilation, heating and air conditioning industries from time to time;

Provide a forum for the adjudication and arbitration of disputes between Members/Associates/Affiliates of the Society and the public;

Promote a standard of workmanship and design for Members/Associates/Affiliates to adhere to. Standards may be via individual qualifications such as having technicians hold a current Refrigerant License, engineering or science qualification from an approved institution, or the relevant industry sector Practice Guide or whatever the board deems appropriate for each industry sector.

Provide a discussion forum for Members/Associates/Affiliates to facilitate the sharing of experience and knowledge; and

Do any act or thing incidental or conducive to the attainment of any of the above objects.

Without detracting from the primary objects, the secondary objects of the Society are to:

Establish a code of conduct applicable to all Members/Associates/Affiliates;

Make policies, regulations and/or bylaws to advance the attainment of any of the above objects.

Act as a Trustee for any entity which has similar interests and objects.
